G2G consultants will tailor their support to the needs of the school and work alongside school leaders to check the effectiveness of safeguarding procedures and how strong the safeguarding culture is in the school.

Our reviews involve:

looking at the school’s record keeping from the single central register to training and child protection records

speaking with key people, such as the designated safeguarding lead, the headteachers and the safeguarding link governor

speaking with staff (teachers, teaching assistants, kitchen staff and site manager) and visitors

meeting with groups of pupils to ask them about their experiences, such as training in keeping safe.

Oral feedback at the end of the day is followed by a written report highlighting strengths in safeguarding and recommending improvements that could be made.
