G2G provides training programmes to sharpen teachers’ skills and raise their expectations and effectiveness. For example, using funding from the Caribbean Development Bank, G2G Education developed a National Numeracy Project in the Commonwealth of Dominica. Following a review of the effectiveness of mathematics teaching in schools, G2G consultants produced a bespoke programme of professional development for primary school teachers. Working alongside teachers quickly helped them to develop their skills in teaching mathematics.
We have led sessions for middle leaders, called Making a Difference (MAD). These run across a half term and involve primary school middle leaders working with colleagues from other schools and developing skills to monitor, lead and inspire their colleagues.
Drawing on the specific expertise of our associates we can offer professional development in a wide range of subjects.
For example, Jim and Helena led well-received sessions for primary teachers on science in order to increase their subject knowledge as well as giving them suggestions for how to teach some more challenging topics.
