Clare Gillies has a degree and two masters qualifications. She taught geography for over twenty years and was a director of studies and deputy headteacher.

She is an experienced lead inspector and consultant, working mainly in maintained secondary schools.

Clare is a very experienced and effective trainer of teachers and inspectors. Her training has been described as “inspirational and informative“.

Clare has been an external adviser for performance management and an Advanced Skills teacher assessor. She has been a  School Improvement Partner. She has also successfully passed all Ofsted assessments as an Ofsted Inspector (from September 2015).

Clare’s particular areas of expertise cover everything from: leadership and management; teaching and learning; citizenship and education for sustainable development.

Clare is also expert in the areas of: inclusion; gifted and talented provision, and personal development and welfare.
